We stayed at this hotel for two nights and chose the Epic Room with a private bathroom. We had a wonderful experience and really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is beautiful, modern, and feels brand new. Although the rooms are quite compact, they are very cozy, well-designed, and have everything you need for a comfortable stay. The bed was comfortable, and everything was spotlessly clean. There is a lovely restaurant and bar on the ground floor where we had a delicious breakfast. The atmosphere throughout the hotel is welcoming and stylish, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is not located in the city center, but that wasn't an issue at all. The ferry terminal is only about a 10-minute walk away, and the free ferries run every five minutes, making it quick and easy to reach downtown. Overall, this is a fantastic place to stay, offering great value for money. We would definitely choose it again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city.
Awesome room, interesting interiors and even saw a dinosaur. All in all great stay. Cleanliness was very good, food was awesome and our room had an amazing air conditioner! We stayed in the epic-room which had steep stairs and a loft-type bedroom. The bathroom was convenient for us but would recommend to choose a different type of room if you have any trouble moving through tight spaces. The room came with a hair dryer but other available amenities were in the common-area. The hotel has good quality free wifi and self-check in, there is also a room for luggage storage which was very convenient. The hotel is located in the calmer, northern part of Amsterdam in walking distance from the train station. Lastly, the staff is a-ma-zing. Humorous and all spoke great English, so fun! Would recommend a hundred percent.
My partner and I stayed for 2 nights in a pod for two. It was quite nice. The days we had chosen to stay there were half the price of the other days for some reason which is the reason why we ended up in the Bunk (we had a strict budget and were looking for the less expensive options in Amsterdam). The pod was clean and comfortable. It became quite hot during the night tho even if the room itself was cool. Also, there was very little intimacy. I mean, that’s normal because it’s a space with a lot of other pods very close to each other, we just didn’t expect THAT many pods (around 50, some of them were for 2 like ours). The only way to close the pod was a quite thin curtain which didn’t block entirely the light from the main room. So yeah, if you go at the Bunk in the pods, just be ready for that, otherwise we enjoyed our stay. Showers and bathroom were clean. It was a bit sad that there was no kitchen but oh well. The self check in was very nice since it let us come in at any hour of the day. We used little keycards to get into our room and we could lock our stuff using that card, which made me feel safe. The place itself was very pretty (in a sort of old church). If you have the budget and this sort of experience is your cup of tea, I would recommend it!
Exceptional customer service, hip atmosphere, convenient location. My partner and I loved staying at Bunk. So much, that we stayed four nights. Super welcoming customer service from the moment you walk in the door, thank you Nacho! Nacho is the host we worked with every time we booked a stay at Bunk and he was always very accommodating and helped us with very specific requests. We loved the neighborhood the hotel is in as it’s walkable to markets and the free ferry across the river that runs constantly with no wait times. We will recommend this place to friends and family traveling to Amsterdam.
I stayed in a 50 bed pod. Overall, this hostel is a really nice place to stay. It is clean, modern, and the food is incredible. There are study spaces and the bathroom are cleaned often. The staff is nice, and all English speaking However, the cleaning staff was there at 9:30 and very loud although checkout is at 11. Considering the room holds 50 people and there were some very loud couples the night before, I did not sleep very long at all. I suppose nobody is told at check-in to keep quiet in the rooms (because I wasn’t told), so there are a few obnoxious people who speak very loudly past 00:00 and before 6:00… several people complained, but the noise never stopped. My fitted sheet also didn’t smell clean at all and there was a strong smell of feet in the pod…. For the price, I got a really good deal, I am happy I stayed there, I will for sure stay again, just not in a pod.
