This was my first hostel experience, and I have to say that I absolutely loved it. First of all, the check-in process is self-service, but there is always a member of staff nearby who is happy to help if you need anything. There is a small extra charge for a towel and a locker lock, but I don’t think that’s a problem since you can also bring your own if you prefer. I stayed in a 4-bed female dorm on the -1 floor. The room was quiet and dark, which was actually perfect because you couldn’t hear any noise from outside at all. The room also had a separate bathroom and toilet, and both were clean. The atmosphere of the hostel reminded me of my university days, which made it feel very welcoming and social. The most important part of my stay was one evening when I thought I had food poisoning. I told the bar staff member, Helder, about how I was feeling. He took great care of me, did everything he could to help me feel better, and made me feel safe. Thanks to him, I remember thinking, “I’m so glad I chose this hostel.” I am truly grateful to him and to the wonderful team here. I will definitely stay here again on my next trip to Amsterdam. Thank you for such a memorable experience!

Pros: - Great location. You need to take a ferry to get there, but it runs frequently and is always available, so it's not an issue. - Modern facilities with new furniture and a nice interior design. Cons: - Cleanliness: The room was not clean when we arrived. There was hair, dust, and even trash on the wooden platform around the bed, making it look like it hadn't been properly cleaned in a long time. I stayed for four nights, and the floors were never cleaned during my stay. - Shower: The shower has no proper enclosure, so water floods the entire bathroom every time someone showers. If you're sharing the bathroom, the next person has to walk into a completely wet floor. - Staff: The staff were not particularly friendly, and service was slow. When we arrived, the room was almost out of toilet paper. I went to reception to ask for another roll, and the receptionist gave me one and said someone would come to install it. Nobody ever came, so we had to keep the toilet paper on the bathroom floor for the rest of our stay.

I have conflicted feeling about this place. On one hand I see how the location is good for getting into Amsterdam. However, the local parking situation was a disaster. I parked far, paid a ton (like 50 euro for a day) and walked a long way in the heat. I also felt like the place was way overpriced and then nickel and dimed you. 6 Euros for a towel rental? crazy pants. Check out was too early at 10 am. The elevators weren't working when we departed and the rooms were not air conditioned. The linens weren't placed on the beds, there was no hand soap. This place is definitely no frills which is fine until you get to the cost of one night. I'm ok with bare bones, but the cost doesn't correlate.

The facility was nice in general but i cant say the staff was the most helpful. I asked at the reception if I can cancel the last night of my several days’ stay and given the answer “no”, so I had to pay an extra night of city tax. But when I checked out early, I found that they actually CAN cancel it with a few clicks on their end. A bit more effort and patience when a customer needs help maybe :)

I recently moved from India to the Netherlands and stayed at ClinkNOORD. It was a fantastic and affordable place to stay. I booked a 4-bed female dorm, and it was a fun experience sharing the room with other girls. The location is excellent—very close to the city, with beautiful views from the window. The hostel is clean, well-maintained, and the staff ensure that the facilities are cleaned regularly. One thing to remember is to bring your own padlock and towel. Otherwise, you'll need to pay around €6 for each item. A paid breakfast option is available, and the Wi-Fi is reliable. As a woman traveling alone, I felt safe and comfortable throughout my stay. Overall, it's a great place to stay, and I would definitely recommend it.
