Dageraad Complex

Amsterdam

Buildings and Monuments

Located in the Amsterdam Zuid neighborhood, you will easily be able to identify the Dageraad Complex. A prime example of the Amsterdam School of architecture, this building dates back to the first part of the twentieth century. The Amsterdam School style incorporates many curved surfaces and unconventional designs. Museum Het Schip has recently relocated to this renowned building. Tours of buildings built in the Amsterdam School style of architecture are available. Interesting topics that are exhibited range from about city planning to architecture to housing initiatives. The building also has some impressive artwork displayed both outside the building and in the inner courtyard.
