Description
Visit ARTIS Zoo to experience its historic city park and botanical garden. The recently opened ARTIS Aquarium offers close encounters with coral reefs, special fish species, and freshwater environments, including views reminiscent of the Amsterdam canal underwater landscape. Learn about marine and freshwater life through informative displays.
At the renovated Kerbertterras, previously the lion enclosure, see ring-tailed lemurs, red ruffed lemurs, and Madagascar radiated tortoises living together. Stroll through the zoo’s monumental buildings and enjoy a meal at one of the vegetarian restaurants on site.
Check the daily schedule for zookeeper presentations featuring jaguars, Asian elephants, and other animals. ARTIS combines discovery, education, and wildlife care.
The Planetarium is included with admission and offers a guided journey through space, exploring stars, planets, and our place in the universe.
