Description

You want to explore the vibrant city of Amsterdam by bike? Then our guided bike tour (fully in German or English) through the centre of Amsterdam is just for you. We will bike all the way through the inner city and make sure to show you the most beautiful parts of town, including the historic canal belt, part of the UNESCO Canal Ring of Amsterdam. Throughout the tour, we will pass all main sights of Amsterdam and in 2 hours you get a great overview over the beautiful canal city. As this is a private tour, you will have the guide all to yourself which means you can discuss personal wishes and the tour can be adapted to your interests! Let's bike trough Amsterdam! Our meeting point is close by central station. From there we will pass Nieuwmarkt, one of the most important places in Amsterdam. Explore how the city's history, chinatown and the jewish quarter are connected and learn everything about Amsterdam's rich trading history and how this city became one of the wealthiest of all time during the Golden Age. Following, we will pass through the jewish quarter along an impressive Portuguese synagogue and the home of Rembrandt. Learn how Amsterdam became an important place for the jewish population and explore the beautifully designed Holocaust name monument afterwards. Of course, the imposant canals of Amsterdam cannot be missed on this tour. From the jewish quarter, you will bike along Amstel river, visit the beautiful 'Magere Brug' and find out about the houseboat situation in Amsterdam. Curious, how much one of those is? Why the houses in Amsterdam are built the way they are and how they are so crooked? Join the tour and find out! According to your individual wishes, we happily incorporate a little breather on the tour so that you can refresh with some beer or coffee and try Amsterdam's world famous apple pie. Afterwards, we will explore the vibrant 'Jordaan', a part of town characterised by cute private gardens, individual boutiques and cool bars and restaurants. Bike along the '9 Straatjes' to spot the perfect place for a little shopping trip after the tour. Additionally, we will pass the imposant Westerkerk and the Anne Frank House on our way back. Depending on your guide's vibe and your individual wishes, the route of the tour can vary – we will always make sure to show you the best sights of Amsterdam and the UNESCO-listed canal belt. We will also adapt to your individual pace – whether you want to bike a lot and see as much as possible or take it easy and relax.
