Description
Explore the serene lowland countryside just north of Amsterdam on this scenic bike tour through the Waterland region. Pedal along quiet dikes and winding canals, passing through postcard-perfect villages like Zunderdorp and Ransdorp.
Start your journey near Central Station with a short ferry ride across the IJ to Amsterdam Noord. From there, follow the North Holland Canal into the peaceful polder landscape, passing a traditional Dutch windmill along the way.
Along the route, you’ll stop for refreshments in the charming village of Ransdorp, where you can enjoy a drink or a slice of apple pie (at your own expense). If you’re curious, ask your guide to make a stop at a local eco-farmers cooperative, where you can taste delicious Dutch cheeses and learn more about sustainable farming in the area.
