Description
Discover one of the Netherlands' most iconic art forms with this interactive Delft Blue tile painting workshop in Amsterdam. You will gain insight into Dutch culture and history while crafting a unique hand-painted tile to take home.
Your host introduces the full history of Delftware, covering its Islamic origins, Italian Renaissance influence, and Chinese inspiration. You then receive step-by-step guidance using authentic Delft Blue porcelain paint to create your own tile. Choose from classic designs such as tulips and windmills, modern styles, or create an original design.
The workshop is designed for beginners and welcomes couples, families, friends, and solo travellers. Tea, coffee, and mini Stroopwafels are available on a self-service basis throughout the session.
At the end, your tile is boxed with oven-baking instructions to make your artwork permanent, providing a meaningful and handmade souvenir from Amsterdam.
