Description
This exclusive 2-hour private tour is designed for true Van Gogh aficionados, offering an in-depth journey through the world’s most extensive collection of the artist’s paintings and drawings.
Led by an expert art historian, this tour delves deep into the life, artistry, and inspirations of Vincent van Gogh. You'll explore why Van Gogh took up painting at 27, the profound influence of his beloved brother Theo, and the complex relationships that shaped his life.
Gain a deep understanding of Van Gogh’s different artistic periods, from the somber tones of his “dark period” in Brabant to the vibrant experiments during his Paris years, and the tumultuous time in the Yellow House with Gauguin in Arles.
The tour also explores the poignant end of his life—Vincent’s tragic death at 37, followed by his brother Theo’s passing just months later—and the remarkable woman who played a crucial role in cementing Van Gogh’s legacy.
This tour is more than just a tribute; it’s a celebration of love, dedication, courage, and brotherhood, expressed in every brushstroke of Van Gogh’s work.
The Van Gogh Museum houses the world’s largest collection of Van Gogh’s art, featuring over 200 paintings and 500 drawings by the master.
