Description
Navigate Giethoorn’s scenic canals by self-guided boat and discover the “Venice of the North” at your own pace.
After a 1.5-hour ride from Amsterdam through the Dutch countryside, you’ll arrive in Giethoorn, a unique village with no roads in its center. Here, you’ll receive your own self-operated boat to explore the narrow canals, charming bridges, and centuries-old thatched farmhouses.
Enjoy the freedom to create your own adventure: cruise along the waterways, stop for lunch at a local restaurant, stroll through the picturesque streets, or shop for Dutch souvenirs and cheese. With 176 bridges connecting the small islands, every turn reveals something new.
Your boat rental and transfer from Amsterdam are included, making this the easiest and most authentic way to experience Giethoorn. Larger groups will automatically receive additional boats at no extra cost.
