Efteling combines ancient myths, legends, fairy tales, fables, and folklore into an immersive theme park experience. Founded on May 31, 1952, it began as a nature park with a playground and the Fairytale Forest before expanding into a full-scale amusement park.
It serves both children and adults with its cultural, romantic, and nostalgic themes alongside a variety of rides, including six rollercoasters and four dark rides. Efteling is the largest theme park in the Netherlands, one of the oldest in the world, twice the size of the original Disneyland in California, and opened three years earlier.
