We start this unforgettable daytrip with a scenic walk at the 'Zaanse Schans': one of the topsights of the country! This is where the past comes alive, with the iconic windmills and green wooden houses. We continue North to the enclosing dyke ('Afsluitdijk'). This water barrier is the most impressive example of Dutch water management. Then we go to pretty Sneek, one of the legendary “eleven cities” of the province of Friesland.
