Description

Kinderdijk: We will pick you up from Amsterdam/the location of your choice and we drive to Kinderdijk located in the province of South Holland. The drive will be about 75 minutes. Kinderdijk is a group of windmills and pumping stations that was created to keep the area dry. The area where Kinderdijk is located is below sea level and to avoid flooding, this system was created. Today, Kinderdijk is a UNESCO site, more famous for its stunning views. Enjoy visiting the windmills or take a boat ride to get the best view. Entrance fees are included with this tour. After Kinderdijk, you have the option to visit one of the cities in South Holland ie Rotterdam, Gouda, Hague, or Leiden. Kindly note admission to a specific museum/attraction is excluded. Welcome to Rotterdam. The second biggest city in the country. In contrast to Amsterdam, Rotterdam is modern with swanky high-rise buildings and recent but impressive bridges. Visit the Markthal, home to over 100+ food stalls and restaurants, the head-spinning Cubic house, or the newly opened Depot Boijmans Van Beuningen. Optionally, take a water taxi to the impressive Hotel New York for a swanky High tea. Gouda: Synonymous with Dutch cheese, Gouda is a 750-year-old historic city and is home to the stunning Sint - Janskerk, City Hall, Goudse waag, etc. Leiden: Home of Rembrandt, Over 35 courtyards, 28 KM of canals, and countless monumental buildings. Fun fact: Before reaching America, the Pilgrim Fathers lived in Leiden in the 17th century. Hague: Political capital of Netherlands and 3rd largest city. Driving back to Amsterdam takes about 75 minutes.
