The hotel is beautiful. The staff are so welcoming. I stay here for work and on arrival they remember me. It’s a small gesture but shows they appreciate you. The food in the restaurant is beautiful. Not a lot of options, however it’s based on quality not quantity. The rooms are spacious and very clean. I love the fact that they give you the option to not have the room cleaned for environmental reasons. Nobody needs their bed changed every day. It’s a beautiful hotel, great location. I can definitely recommend.
Great hotel for a relaxing stay in Amsterdam. Handy location a short and peaceful walk from Amstel Station, with a number of direct buses, trains and trams to different parts of the city. The hotel vibe is Northern European Cool, and if I wasn't so busy exploring Amsterdam I'd happily spend days relaxing, reading and chilling at the hotel.
The room was cold - they brought me a small electric heater that was very loud. I didn’t complain. There is a step when you enter the bathroom in room 302 - dangerous during the night if you are new in this room. The hot water pressure in the sink was nearly missing The receptionist in the morning on Wednesday, April 29th gave me a very strict warning with a very angry and unfriendly spirit to avoid entering their reception area when I simply was trying to push my heavy suitcase inside without stepping in inside to help her. It’s fine with me to explain the rules, but why being mean and unfriendly? Not acceptable. Then when I decided to order breakfast by the menu, the restaurant receptionist said that this should be served in the bar area (which is 1 meter away from the restaurant where buffet breakfast people are sitting while the buffet itself is in a third different zone). Both places were nearly empty. They gave me a permission to sit in the main dining area, but as if I have been rewarded with a Nobel prize. Therefore, for people that like comfort, warm rooms and friendly service this hotel won’t work. People who like discomfort and angry people at the reception and the restaurant - they may like this place.
Lovely hotel. We had a beautiful room. Very friendly staff and great location, less than 10 minutes walk to Amstel station. Good value too. Highly recommend.
I had a really pleasant stay at the V Hotel Amsterdam Amstel and would absolutely recommend it. One of the biggest highlights was how quiet the hotel is, despite its convenient location in Amsterdam, it was easy to relax and get a good night’s sleep. The location is excellent. Many sights, restaurants, and public transport connections are easy to reach, making it a perfect base for a city trip. I was also very impressed with the facilities. The rooms are modern, clean, and very well equipped, so you have everything you need for a comfortable stay. You can really tell that attention has been paid to both comfort and detail. The combination of peaceful atmosphere, great location, and high-quality rooms makes this hotel a great choice in Amsterdam. I would definitely stay here again. Greetings M.S and B.M
