We had a wonderful stay at Huygens Place Amsterdam! The hotel was clean, comfortable, and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The location is perfect, with many of Amsterdam’s top attractions within walking distance and great transport links nearby. A big thank you to the entire team for your excellent hospitality. You made our stay truly enjoyable, and we would happily recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Amsterdam!
We had a great stay at the hotel. The room was clean, comfortable, and well looked after, and the garden was a lovely place to relax. The location is excellent, with tram stops right nearby and the Van Gogh Museum within easy walking distance. A special mention to Daniel and Lesego, who really stood out during our visit. They were both incredibly friendly, professional, and went out of their way to help whenever needed. Their excellent service made our stay even more enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would happily stay here again.
Pros: very convenient for two tram stops, close to Vondelpark (great for running), room was a good size, the bed was comfortable, lots of good cafes nearby. Cons: very loud noise started at random (the extractor fan of another room?), there was a window directly above the bed (take an eyemask), the water from the shower spilled out and made a lake of the bathroom floor, there was no shower gel or shampoo in the bathroom dispensers on arrival, there are lots of steep stairs or a tiny lift. It was fine for a couple of nights I guess, but the noise in the room and the window above the bed were not ideal.
Huygens Place was the perfect place for our couples stay in Amsterdam. The location was superb, near many of the sites we wanted to visit. We easily walked to the van Gogh Museum, for instance. We were there over the Kings Day Holiday, and the hotel inside was a nice, quiet oasis with all of the celebration going on nearby in the Vondalpark. The service was extraordinary, and way beyond what would be normally expected. When I left, I left an iPad in my room. I called the hotel, and they gladly packaged it in a box with padding and got it shipped to me in just a few days in Germany. I’m so grateful for their helpful service. Highly recommended!
Wonderful stay for 5 days. Booked 3 rooms for a family of 6 and we all were on the same floor (4/F). Pros: rooms were of a good size (even the twin bed rooms) and most importantly - clean! No bed bugs! The breakfast buffet was really good especially their scrambled eggs (for some reason I was addicted). Staff are/were super friendly with us and my 4 year old. There’s also a nice patio within the hotel itself so you can chill and eat there. Location wise - it’s in the museum district so it’s quiet and safe. Very very close to Vondelpark. Cons: Tiniest lift I’ve ever taken. Thankfully never had to wait long. Also the 4/f we stayed in had steep stairs in the hallway leading to the other rooms. It’s only a few steps but be mindful if you have luggage. The toilets also had a little bit of a smell but it was fine. Not a dealbreaker. Whilst breakfast was good, the area was small- there’s only a few tables so it’s highly recommended that you book a time slot in advance. Overall a really wonderful stay and I’d consider staying there again.
