Love this hotel! Brilliant and welcoming service from the moment you arrive. Friendly staff that were able to confidently answer any questions we had. The hotel is a good distance outside the centre of the city, but with good transport links, we found we were only a 10-15 minute metro or tram ride from the places we wanted to visit. The Minibar in the reception area is a big plus! As well as the terrace overlooking the canal, the double room is plenty big enough for two people with a stylish, modern bathroom, comfortable bed (great views out the window of Amsterdam city centre). The fridge in the room cannot go unmentioned, as this saved us having to run back into the city for snacks and gluten free foods. The only downsides would be the plugs being in the frame of the bed and not that easy to use when sitting in the bed (we used adapters that proved rather troublesome.) as well as the rainfall showerhead lacking in pressure. My partner and I have stayed in this hotel twice now and both times we leave saying how much we love staying here. We would definitely return here, both to the city of Amsterdam and staying solely in this hotel.
The rooms are clean and has everything you need. The temperature of the rooms were perfect even without the aircon, however the aircon also worked perfectly. Staff is friendly and check-in was smooth and gast check-out available. The breakfast selection was delicious and had much more options than I was expecting, some items on the menu I've been searching for month in the Netherlands.
We stayed in a Privilege Room at Mercure Amsterdam City and we were very satisfied with our stay. The hotel is very nice, comfortable and clean. On the first day, we had 5 complimentary drinks, and on the following days we had 2 drinks, which was a nice detail. The beds were clean and there was no unpleasant smell in the room. The bathroom felt high quality, and the thermostatic shower faucet was very convenient. The safe in the room was also easy to use. The only downside is that there is no proper wardrobe in the room, only hangers, so it can be a bit difficult to organize clothes. Also, the metro station is a little far from the hotel. Other than that, we were very happy with the hotel. All the materials and details felt high quality. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay.
We stayed at the hotel for 5 days and had a great experience! All the staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and helpful. The housekeeping team was very friendly and kept our room spotless every day! The restaurant staff were always attentive, promptly clearing used plates from the tables. When I mentioned that my daughter has a peanut allergy, they kindly went out of their way to find additional cakes so she would have safer options to choose from. The reception team also deserves special recognition for their kindness and willingness to help. They provided a crib for our daughter, printed coloring pages for her, and even found some silver tape so we could temporarily repair our suitcase, which had been damaged during our flight. Truly outstanding service! The breakfast was very complete and of excellent quality. My only small suggestion for improvement would be to vary the menu a bit more from day to day, as the offerings remained very similar throughout our stay. That said, we were still very satisfied with the quality and variety of options available at breakfast overall! The hotel’s location is also convenient, being about a 10-minute walk from the metro station, making it easy to get around the city. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend this hotel. A special thank you to the entire staff for making our stay so comfortable and memorable. The professionalism and attention to detail were truly appreciated and made all the difference!
Lovely hotel staff so helpful and friendly. Breakfast good and restaurant prices as you would expect for a city hotel. Rooms very clean with plenty of room. Location is out of city centre we used an Uber taxi but station is 10 min walk away. Would definitely stay again
