Hotel staff are ill equipped and the rooms only LOOK nice. We booked a wheelchair accessible room. The shower drain was not working so the water ran all the way to the foot of the bed. I had to go downstairs to get towels to try and stop the water myself because overnight staff could not or would not be bothered. I asked for more pillows and was told to ask in the morning. What good does that do? The AC also does not work. The shower drain smells of sewage. Update: staff couldn't even tell me theor email and told me to find it on the website. They offered us 2 drink vouchers for our troubles. My partner has end stage kidney failure. He cannot drink alcohol.
To start with the air conditioning issue: no one ever informed us about the situation, and we received no information about it at check-in either. (No air conditioning; the room was 35 degrees.) Furthermore, the way you respond to Google reviews regarding the AC is problematic; it would be better to simply admit there was a problem rather than treating customers like fools by implying they don't know how to operate it. Regarding the accessible room: we informed you of our requirements several times prior to our stay. It seems obvious to me that a wheelchair user needs an adapted bathroom... And since washing is already difficult when you're in a wheelchair, doing it in the dark makes it even worse... (No light in the bathroom.) However, what I find intolerable is that you force disabled guests who need an adapted room to pay a higher price—in our case, a difference of €40. Admittedly, the room is larger, but we have to live with our disability; we have no choice. It isn't a matter of luxury, but of necessity—simply trying to live on equal footing with everyone else... We have just returned from a trip covering 42 countries, and not a single hotel ever asked us for a surcharge for an adapted room; and for the record, those rooms were usually much larger than standard ones. Doesn't that seem logical to you? If you were disabled, would you agree to pay more for a service than an able-bodied person?
We had a great stay at this hotel. Check-in was easy, and every member of staff we interacted with provided excellent service. We had no issues at all during our stay. The location was also very convenient, close to the train station, which made commuting to the busier areas simple. It’s a great choice for anyone who wants to be away from the crowds while still staying close to the center. Definitely recommend!
I stayed at the hotel for two days and had a really great experience. The staff were welcoming, friendly, and always ready to help. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, which made my stay very enjoyable. At one point, I thought I had lost my AirPods, and the team was incredibly helpful. They took the time to search with me and were very patient until I finally found them. Their kindness and professionalism really stood out. A special shoutout to Fede and Frank for their kindness and support! Excellent service all around I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel!
