Although location and service of front staff was pretty good, we were not impressed with the room. The shower faucet would not turn, the water is not contained in the shower area and would spill all over the bathroom floor under the toilet and sink, despite how damp it gets there is no ventilation to help dry out the bathroom. The rooms themselves smelled of mold and breathing in the air over night caused everyone in the group to wake up with sore throats, rhinitis, a wet cough and feeling sick. This smell is worse (mixture of damp mold and sewage) on the first floor which the staff obviously know about when asked if we could switch rooms. Cleaning staff tend to barge in without knocking and there was no “do not disturb” signs provided. Perhaps it’s an issue of communication between admin and cleaning staff, but the cleaning staff would be surprised when coming in, asking why we haven’t checked out yet despite our stay being multiple nights more…

This place is great if you are looking for a hotel outside the main centre with excellent connections both from Schiphol airport (Bus 397 to Emmastraat) and downtown (tram nr 2). Its a great hotel for a short stay. The rooms were small but with spacious bathroom. The breakfast was good and had a small selection of bread, yogurt, eggs and bacon with vegan options. No difficulties checking in or out, no haggling of prices. Great and very close to Vondelpark which was absolutely stunning. Would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a good option when spending a couple of days in Amsterdam

Great location so close to Van Gogh and Rijsk museums. Easy access. Very good area with restaurants. We arrived to the hotel by taxi. The room had a good size and it was very quiet. We did not have breakfast at the Hotel. If We had a chance We would stay again.

So so hotel in a great location. Most of the staff seem pretty unhappy. The room was clean. It was quiet. The standard room is tiny which is no big deal but the bathroom set up is not good. The shower, if you are t careful and position the shower head just so, floods the bathroom and the shower and the toilet are pretty much in the same space. You could basically shower while on the toilet. Time saving for sure but not most peoples' pick. Including mine.

It was overall fine. Very easy to get there from the airport (buss that stopped right around the corner from the hotel), good location, easy to get around. We did not try the breakfast. The room was very basic, really slow elevator, and the whole top floor had a bit of a smell… but it wasn’t that noticeable in our room luckily. Air conditioning worked, which was really nice!
