Paradiso is a mixture of live music venue, night clubs and cultural centre located in an old church building a short walk from Leidseplein and as it says itself its mission is to explore the borders of pop culture, which they have done exceedingly well for years now. Paradiso is also one the most popular night clubsin the city since they started doing dance nights with DJ's back in the 80's. Since 1968 when Paradiso opened its doors to the public they have attracted some of the biggest names for concerts around the world such as the Rolling Stones and the Sex Pistols and in more recent years new stars like Lady Gaga, Queens of the Stone Age and the White Stripes who are all proud to be part of the history of Paridiso and enjoy the great acoustics that the old church allows.
