The Bulldog started out as a dingy cellar in the basement of a sex shop, whose owner used to roll up joints with his mates, when he wasn't dealing in blow-up dolls. As more and more people started coming, more to enjoy a relaxing trip rather than buying kinky toys, the erstwhile owner got the bright idea of converting his main shop into a legal-cannabis-selling coffeeshop. That's how the Bulldog started out, and now it has grown to include five cafes, a hotel, merchandising line and its own overseas chain in Canada.
