Directions to Amsterdamse Bos
Amsterdamse Bos is a large park, located in the outskirts of Amsterdam, which is a marvelous place for holding picnics, taking bicycle rides, sporting activities, horse riding, canoeing, watching plays, the list go on and on. Oh and there's also walking, but you would have already guessed that. Amsterdamse Bos is literally translated as Amsterdam Forest. It is styled in the manner of a typical English landscape, with open roads and widely spaced trees. Another unique thing about the Amsterdam Forest is that it is completely artificially created, using special effects, unused turf lands and wetlands to create an appealing forest feel. It also holds the distinction of being one of the largest parks in the city of Amsterdam.
