I really loved the beer and the food was excellent. Great fritje and bitterballen. I loved the aesthetic and the vibe. Such a shame that the outside space, which given the ambient temperature was really the only place to be, is somewhat ruined by nigh on universal cigarette smoking. Yes, yes, I know it's continental Europe, what am I complaining about. Well, sorry, it's unpleasant smelling and I don't care for it.
We visited for dinner as a family of 2 adults and 2 kids. de Biertuin is famous for their signature Spit-Roasted Farm Chickens (marinated for 24 hours, slow-roasted on the spit, and served with home-made applesauce and double-fried frites), as well as massive, juicy classic burgers and loaded nachos. We got a collection of items and their roast chicken was absolutely delicious. The service was friendly and attentive. They don't have a kids menu and bookings are essential.
A lively spot with lovely, attentive service. The food was delicious overall, though the buffalo wings could have used a bit more sauce, they were still very tasty.
Been to another location previously. This was also nice. I may have had the same beer. Good drinks. Lots of options. Good service. Good food.
