Great place with great, lively & accommodating servers, cannot recommend enough. Not only does the restaurant have a great charm, but the food and drinks are great! We came here twice on our 5-day Amsterdam stay and it was one of those cozy, “homey” lowkey restaurants you couldn’t get enough of. Even if you’re in the main center of Amsterdam definitely take the free ferry down to Amsterdam Noord & stop by. The surrounding area is cute and the prices are great. Well worth it with some fun Dutch cuisine to try!
This place is wonderful in every way. The decoration has a magical atmosphere, and we had an amazing time from the very first moment. 🫢 Nick was very kind to us, as were all the waiters. We highly recommend the Albóndigas—they have a unique and unforgettable flavor that reminded us of Mexico. The seasoning and overall quality of the food are outstanding. If you're looking for a place to enjoy dishes with authentic Mexican-inspired flavors, this is definitely the place to visit. I also tried the hamburger, and it was absolutely delicious. You can ask for the meat to be well done, and it still tastes fantastic. The portion is very generous and comes with fries and a salad. We highly recommend this place and would definitely come back!
This places is an absolutely gem in the Netherlands. They have wonderful Albóndigas, which is a Mexican traditional dish. I'm Mexican and this is the first place outside Mexico that has authentic albóndigas. The staff is super friendly, delicious food, international decorations like sombreros, and AMAZING staff. Love you. Los amo

A cosy café on the north side of Amsterdam, a quick (and free) ferry ride away, and well worth the trip. We had a delicious fishy dinner here ( roast salmon and grilled halibut), the rest of the menu looked tasty too. Add in a wood-burning stove and friendly staff and Café Ons made for a perfect evening away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
