Great Vibe, Excellent Sides, and Beautiful Waterfront Setting! THE BUTCHER Social Club is a cool burger spot and bar situated right along the riverbank. The venue is spacious, featuring a variety of seating options, an outdoor patio area, and an upper-level mezzanine. We stopped by for lunch on a Monday afternoon. Most of the ground-floor tables were taken, but the acoustics in the space are surprisingly great—we couldn't hear any neighboring conversations at all. The background music was pleasant and set a good vibe without ever competing with our conversation. The Food The Burger: Good and tasty, though not mind-blowing. They didn't ask for our preferred cooking temp (doneness), which was a small downside. Caesar Salad: Rich, flavorful, and very delicious! Sweet Potato Fries: Absolutely heavenly—a absolute must-order. Final Verdict A very nice spot with a solid atmosphere to grab a bite and hang out with friends by the water!
The place is okay. It has a fresh spacious atmosphere, burgers are okay. I actually liked my entrecôte steak, it was juicy and came with a nice sauce. Sweet potato fries were tasty as well. The service was also find, they wouldn’t bother you to the point that you can’t find an opportunity to ask for the bill. I think I can recommend it if you’re in the area and wanna grab something with friends. Not as a separate food-destination. You might even need to book a table since it gets busy towards the evening.
Wide range of burgers, I tried the Daddy one and was very tasty and made of good quality products, also for a fair price being in Amsterdam center. The cocktail or wines are way to expensive, the beers just the regular NL price. Great location next to the ferry stop to central station, with terrace for sunny days and also the inside looks fancy. Recommended if you come for the food
We really enjoyed the service! Everyone was very nice and accomodating even though we were a large group. It was also very enjoyable for our 5 year old daughter who was able to enjoy the space and had nice interactions with staff, very cute kids menu. Food was served quickly and nicely plated. We had a celebration so they added a birthday candle to dessert, which was really nice.
Fantastic experience. The service was very friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived, which made the whole meal really enjoyable. The food tasted great and everything was well prepared. For two adults with a soft drink each the bill came to €48.50, which seems about average for this area of Amsterdam and felt good value for the quality of the food and service. If myself and misses ever come back to visit Amsterdam, I would definitely eat here again. Highly recommended.
