Super convenient spot right next to Amsterdam Centraal Station. The vibe is relaxed, colorful, and welcoming — feels like a modern brasserie where everyone can chill, whether you’re solo, with friends, or with family. Julia totally nailed her recommendation: go for the beef & veal meatballs. They’re juicy, well-seasoned, and served with that classic Dutch “hete bliksem” mash (potato with apple and onion). It’s proper comfort food with a nice upgrade — hearty, flavorful, and satisfying without being too heavy. The menu mixes Dutch touches with all kinds of other good stuff: burgers, pastas, salads, sharing plates, and grilled meats. Plenty of veggie options too if you’re in that mood. Overall, the food comes out fresh and tasty, portions are generous, and the service is friendly and attentive. It’s one of those easy, feel-good places near the station that doesn’t disappoint. If you’re in the area and want something comforting with a bit of local flavor, this hits the spot. The meatballs are definitely worth ordering — thanks again Julia! Would go back without hesitation.
WE ARE EDN is a lovely restaurant in Amsterdam (near Central Station). We enjoyed the tasting experience, which was a great way to try several dishes. The service was attentive, and the cozy atmosphere with soft lighting and candles on the table made the evening feel special. The waiter Flora was exceptionally friendly and helpful. 🫶 It’s also family-friendly, with a kids menu and pencils for colouring, which is a nice touch for children. 👍
We had an absolutely incredible experience at Edn Restaurant inside the DoubleTree Hotel in Amsterdam. We sat at the bar and were lucky enough to be taken care of by Alda — and honestly, she made the night. Alda was beyond amazing. Not only did she give us spot-on recommendations for food, but she also took the time to share suggestions for places around the city, day plans, and must-see spots in Amsterdam. It felt like getting insider tips from a local friend rather than just standard service. Food-wise, everything was outstanding. We had the pizza, Caesar salad, bread, and burrata, and every single dish was delicious — fresh, well balanced, and clearly made with care. For dessert, we ordered the cheesecake (fantastic), but the true standout and my absolute favorite was the pistachio dessert. It was incredible, unique, and unlike anything else we’ve had — genuinely memorable. I truly have nothing negative to say. Amazing food, warm atmosphere, and exceptional service. If you’re staying nearby or even just passing through, Edn is absolutely worth a visit — and if Alda is working, you’re in the best hands. Would 100 percent come back.
