A good place for breakfast. Simple menu but with enough options. Shakshuka was tasty, but it felt like something was missing—like halloumi. My friends also liked the Turkish eggs and bread was so warm. The atmosphere inside is nice.

During my first trip to Amsterdam, I was staying nearby with friends and decided to give Five Ways Coffee Roasters a try after reading the positive Google reviews. It was only a short walk from our hotel, and although we didn’t have a reservation, we were able to get a table. We all really enjoyed our breakfast choices. The menu isn’t huge, but that’s part of its charm – every dish was well thought out, freshly prepared, and absolutely delicious. The service was excellent, and the atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. In fact, we enjoyed it so much that we returned for breakfast a second time during our stay, and once again the food and service were outstanding. It’s clearly a popular spot, with plenty of locals using both the café and takeaway service, which is always a good sign. Highly recommended, and we’d definitely return on our next visit to Amsterdam!

Amazing place for breakfast. Very tasty food and a great choice of coffee. They also have soy milk and other non-dairy options, which was really important for me. We ordered four different dishes, and every single one was delicious. Everything was fresh, well prepared, and beautifully served. Really great place overall — we were very satisfied and can definitely recommend it if you want a good breakfast and quality coffee.

Favorite coffee and breakfast we had in Amsterdam! We ate here almost every morning of our trip. Espresso is the best and staff were so friendly and welcoming! The food is fresh and so delicious! We had pretty much everything in the menu since we came here multiple times. Turkish eggs and brekky muffin were our favorites! You really can’t go wrong with any option though. Definitely and must go especially for you coffee lovers!

I recently stopped by Five Ways Coffee Roasters for a quick lunch, and overall, it was a decent but somewhat underwhelming experience. Starting with the coffee, it was clearly prepared with care and professionalism, which is always appreciated. However, for my personal taste, it leaned a bit too much toward the bitter side, lacking the balance or depth that would make it stand out among Amsterdam’s strong coffee scene. Good—but not particularly memorable. The food followed a similar pattern. I ordered the shakshuka and a Caesar salad, both of which unfortunately felt a bit flat. The shakshuka lacked the richness and spice you’d expect from the dish, coming across as somewhat flavorless. The Caesar salad also missed that signature punch—the dressing wasn’t as bold or creamy as it should be, making the dish feel a bit underwhelming. Nothing was bad, but it all felt slightly “anemic” in flavor. The café itself has a lot going for it. It’s a lively, busy spot with a pleasant atmosphere, and there’s plenty of seating both indoors and outside, which is great on a nice day. The staff were friendly and welcoming, but due to how busy it was, the service ended up being quite slow. In summary, this is a nice place to grab a coffee and a light bite, especially if you’re looking for a relaxed setting. Just don’t come with very high expectations for the food, and you’ll likely enjoy it more.
