The food is good, however the level is not consistent between the dishes. Some dishes are way above average. Others are simply average.. The Service is good in general. Some of the staff are very nice others are not. They have a good selection of wine. Don’t forget to book in advance!
Great restaurant! Lovely experience, the team was great from the moment we walked in the doors to when we left. Food and wine is exceptional and loved having a dj curating live music. Huge thanks to Martin and everyone else, I always recommend to anyone in town (local or visiting)
Our 2nd time, since our 1st, which was soon after they opened. Service and staff was very good and attentive . Food was good to exceptional. Started with a crab both amuse bouche - délicieux. We shared the artichoke - delicious, then mains we choose a special - Vol au vent with cèpes, then the pork sausage with Sides of Fries and Leeks with Cheddar. The Vol au vent was good , but missing a bit of taste from the cèpes, and the pastry too dry. The sausage was outstanding , a taste bomb. For dessert the Sticky toffee was delicious, and poached pear was ok but missing the wow. We mentioned about the plain vol au vent and they offered us a dessert. This was not asked for but welcome, Our comment was more to help them improve not that it was bad. Nice atmosphere, service and overall high quality
We went here for our anniversary dinner, and loved it! Every dish delivered, and you can tell that a lot of passion went into the menu. Overall the price quality ratio really delivered. My favourite was the vegetarian main with jerusalem artichoke, and my partner’s highlight was a dessert with whisky and seaweed. We also enjoyed some great orange wine. Definitely a place to return to!
I visited this restaurant with my boyfriend for our first anniversary. Overall, it is a really beautiful place. The atmosphere and interior are fantastic, and the service was truly impeccable. The dishes came one after another with perfect timing, and everything we tried was very good. However, the restaurant is extremely noisy, to the point where it can be difficult to have a conversation. Even though we mentioned it was our anniversary, we were seated at a shared table with other people. It wasn’t a big problem, but I would have preferred a bit more privacy for the occasion. In general, the food was great and the atmosphere was lovely. I would come back, maybe on a weekday instead of the weekend, when it might be a little quieter.
