Our dinner at Clandestino was a wonderful experience, as every dish we ordered was absolutely full of flavor. We particularly enjoyed the **Ravioli Burrata**, the **Arepas**, and the **Zalm Tamarind Ceviche**, all of which were delicious and perfectly prepared for sharing. However, the true standouts of the evening were the **Clandestino Salade** and the **Mais van de plancha**, which added a fresh and savory balance to the meal that we simply couldn't stop talking about.

Absolute gem of a restaurant, with sensational food: think Latin American with an Italian twist. Best negroni I’ve ever had too, a smoky mescal version. Staff are wonderful, by the time we left we felt like family.

Visited this spot a few times over the year, it's a great location to dine at if you have concert at the Concertgebouw. I've consistently told them I need to be out at a certain time and it it never a problem. The food has been consistently good and the flavors are very steady. The only tip I would have is to change the napkins to damask or single use, but that is my personal preference. The portions are good sizes and the hamachi tacos are always filled to the brim with fish. No coleslaw filler etc. All in all, the food is super tasty and I thoroughly enjoy dining here.

I’ve been to Clandestino several times, both for lunch and dinner, and it’s always been an excellent experience. It’s the kind of place that adapts perfectly to any occasion, whether it’s a relaxed lunch or a special dinner. The food is outstanding, with unique dishes and beautifully balanced flavors. The service is always attentive and professional, and they have a great selection of wines and cocktails that complement the experience perfectly. The terrace for lunch is one of my favorite spots. Intimate, quiet and a little hidden gem in Amsterdam Zuid. Perfect whether you’re meeting friends, having a small meeting, or even enjoying some time on your own.

The restaurant looks like it aims to be high-end, but unfortunately the experience did not match expectations. We had to wait over 30 minutes before anything was brought to the table. As more dishes were served, the table became dirty and was not cleaned between courses. At one point, the waitress even tried to place another plate on the uncleaned table. Only after I intervened and asked for it to be cleaned did she finally wipe it. The staff seemed overwhelmed, as if they had 10–15 tables to manage and couldn’t give proper attention to guests. The service was far from professional. The waiter opened the wine and left it on the table without any follow-up. No one asked how the food tasted, whether we were satisfied, or even how we wanted the steak cooked. Out of the five dishes we ordered, only one was truly good. The rest were average at best. The biggest disappointment was the Wagyu steak. We have eaten Wagyu several times in our lives and it was always an incredible experience — tender, delicate meat that melts in your mouth. What was served today was the complete opposite. The steak was not clearly described in terms of type or quality, the meat was tough, chewy like rubber, and of very poor quality. I couldn’t eat it at all. To be fair, the restaurant did not charge us the additional €50 supplement for the Wagyu, but they still charged for the dish itself as if it had been eaten, even though I did not eat it at all because it was simply inedible. If this is the approach to service and product quality going forward, it is hard to see a strong future for this place.
