The food was absolutely delicious and fulfilling! We came directly from our flight and we didn’t regret it, I’d strongly recommend it if you’re looking for a good breakfast/lunch spot. The owner was also incredible. Should definitely open one in Montreal, Canada it would do wonders!
Delicious and nutritious food with very friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommend this place for a nice brunch brunch, coffee, or quick bite to eat. Also located in a beautiful area of the city!
Breakfast at Kessens in Amsterdam was outstanding. We sat outside on a beautiful morning, enjoying the lively street view and people-watching. The atmosphere was relaxed and perfect for a leisurely breakfast. The ham and cheese sandwich was excellent — incredibly soft, fluffy, and packed with flavor despite its simplicity. Even better was the French toast, hands-down the best I’ve ever had (and I’ve tried many). The bread was thick yet wonderfully soft and juicy, with perfectly balanced toppings that weren’t overly sweet. Unlike the heavy, syrup-drenched versions common in the United States, Kessens delivered a harmonious plate. I also appreciated the thoughtful details: my hot green tea arrived with a premium triangular sachet filled with whole tea leaves instead of a standard teabag. While we were eating, couple of passersby actually commented on how incredible the French toast looked. The service was warm and attentive throughout. If you’re in Amsterdam, Kessens is a must-visit. Highly recommended!
My wife and I had our flight delayed on a snowy afternoon and it was the perfect place to shelter the weather with great food and friendly hospitality. You feel like you’re at someone’s house and the food backs it up. I had the eggs and my wife the steak sandwich. The portions were generous and carefully made.
