This place was picked on a lark. Wow did I hit a winning hand. Food was excellent. We had many small dishes. The beer list brought me in and didn't disappoint. It is extensive. It was a little bit of a challenge to figure out how to get there by public transit. But was worth the challenge.
Top notch food and drinks pairing. Very happy to have found this place. Would recommend sitting at the bar if you’re in a smaller group.
Nice surprise in North Amsterdam, inbetween NDSM and the eye museum. Some different dishes which we like, cooked over the BBQ. We took brioche with lamb tongue, and asperges as starters and then short ribs and skate wing. Served by the chef. All super delicious and well cooked. For desserts the Basque cheese cake- really not sweet and Pana cotta both delicious. Broadway selection of ciders, beers and wines. 21Feb- second visit. New menu, we shared 3platea, Starters Pan fried duck hearts from the snacks options , then veal tongue on brioche , and mains was pork cheeks on Dutch mashed potatoes. For dessert cheese cake and a tarte tatin . All delicious.
I’ve eaten at Pelusa numerous times, so it’s safe to say that their food is amazing. My favorite dish on their menu is the Ribeye, served with pepper sauce and shared for two people. On the side, I’d recommend the potatoes or the smoked fries, both are excellent choices, as well as the grilled vegetables. As for the starters, among the ones I’ve tried, I’ve very much enjoyed the deviled eggs, as well as their delicious bread with salted butter. They are both included in the Pelusa snack platter, as seen in the photos I’ve posted, and I’d highly recommend getting it as a starter. For dessert, I love the cheesecake with beetroot jam. Besides that, their atmosphere is very nice, the service is great, and their music choices are excellent.
