Among our best dinner experiences in Amsterdam, this beautiful restaurant turned out to be a hidden gem. It's immediately striking from the street with its elegant decor, but don't stop at the entrance: ask for a table in the small back garden, bordered by hedges and plants and facing a small church: the atmosphere is magic! Our dinner was exquisite: we started with bread and herb butter, followed by a delicious black angus burger and a roast cabbage (beurre blanc, chive cream, walnut chutney & tomato crumble) plus a side of citrus-seasoned artichokes. Omg, the flavours were amazing! The wine selection is refined, and the staff is so kind and friendly. A truly special experience that will remain in our hearts!
Lucky we went early. Didn't need a reservation, but 30 minutes later....reservations only! Service was spot on. Loved the vibe. Food was exceptional at a very reasonable price, E90. We shared the ribeye for two. Excellent portions. Location was excellent and close to our hotel, Hotel Weichman.
What a treat! Not just for the delicious steak but the appetizers and desserts too. Roasted aubergine was absolutely delicious and the apple tatin perfectly made. Service was great!
A really beautiful experience to dine here. The customer service is amazing, but more importantly the food is incredible! Visited for my 40th birthday and was not disappointed!
We came here for dinner on our last night in Amsterdam. I did some research on some good places in Amsterdam for steak as I was craving it, and it did not disappoint! We booked ahead of time, however it wasn’t needed as there weren’t many people there but this was on a Monday evening. We were kept waiting for around 5 minutes along with two other people as staff did walk by, but maybe they have a policy for seating people, I’m unsure but it didn’t come across rudely nevertheless. I ordered the house Rosé which was pleasant and reasonably priced. For mains we went with the 200g steak that is just “steak” on the menu but tastes like Sirloin. My partner went with the Black angus burger I think. I thought the steak was really good, despite being a little undercooked as I asked for medium and thought it was more medium rare but I still greatly enjoyed it. The burger was quite simple though and nothing special. The fries are unlimited which is great, however we were only brought over one pot of fries between both of us even though I think they are included with both meals, I’m unsure if they just have one pot between two as they’re unlimited, which we were absolutely fine with, but others may not be. The server also asked “and what sauce?” when taking my order for the steak, by that I assumed it was included but was charged extra for it. There was also a little bit of a wait for the bill despite the restaurant being quiet. All of the staff we encountered were very nice and our server was great! Overall, we enjoyed the food and found it to be reasonably priced for a restaurant in Amsterdam
