The atmosphere of this place is cosy and beautiful, enjoyed the 80's/90's music. We made a reservation but arrived early and easily sat down. Our server, didn't catch his name but tall and blond, was very nice and cool under pressure as I think he was the only one at the time. Food was hearty and delicious. We had the Bitterballen as appetizer, and Stamppot for meal. Happy this restaurant was advised to us by some locals for Dutch cuisine.
This is a nice place to try traditional Dutch cuisine. We had carpaccio as a starter and "Grandpa Narco's braised beef" as the main course. The portion size, taste, and service were good. PS: I recommend checking the bill before paying, as we had two dishes listed that we didn't eat, which was corrected after we noticed it.

One of the biggest advantages was that we were actually able to get a reservation here, while many other traditional Dutch restaurants were fully booked days in advance. The restaurant has a wonderful family-owned atmosphere and a rich history that you can truly feel throughout the space. The interior is full of charming details and unique decorations that immediately catch your attention and make you want to look around and explore every corner. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. They helped us choose a table, explained the menu, and recommended traditional Dutch dishes to try. We started with the famous bitterballen, which were delicious, then tried the sauerkraut stamppot and Grandpa Narco’s braised beef. Everything was flavorful, comforting, and beautifully prepared. It felt like a genuine introduction to Dutch home-style cooking. What made the experience even more special was the warm hospitality and authentic atmosphere. Where to start… Christmas music in mid-April, the front door left open when it was 4°C outside, and staff more interested in their phones than the customers. Food arrived cold (yes, even mashed potatoes and a meatball) and had to be reheated. We ordered a sharing plank and soup — they didn’t have the plank, so we cancelled the starter altogether. The toilets were unacceptable: overflowing bin and a puddle of urine on the floor. The Wentelteefje was actually very good, but the coffee was, yet again, cold. When we asked for the bill, the waiter simply walked off… and stood behind the bar eating his own dinner (photo says it all). They were turning people away at the door — little did they realise, those were the lucky ones. Other than that…
