Situated in Kalverstraat, the Kalvertoren Shopping Centre is one of Amsterdam's busiest and most popular shopping centres. The Shopping Centre is also the winner of two European Shopping Centre awards in 1998, presented by the International Council of Shopping Centres. Spread over three levels, the Kalvertoren is relatively more sobered-up than contemporaries such as the Magna Plaza but still holds enough in its arsenal to allow a healthy shopping spree. Brands like Dockers, Levi's, Marlboro and Timberland are stacked down the aisles. Local shops like V&D and Hema are also in the same centre. So, although the store may not hold luxury brands like your Giorgio Armani or Hermes, there's still plenty of fodder for casual wear and budget shopping.
